Basalt dish rocks are created only under precise conditions. When rare intrusions exist between basalt columns, these pillowed and dished structures form.
Dish rock is perfect for creating a one-of-a-kind water feature or for use as a natural bird bath. Typical dish rocks have a 18-30” diameter with varying heights.
When we find dish rock with a perfectly rounded underside, we flip them over to create our basalt domes.
